We had an outstanding stay at this Ocean Isle Beach home. The house was brand new, spotless, and beautifully maintained—it truly felt like staying in a luxury home. Everything was clean, fresh, and thoughtfully set up, making it easy to relax from the moment we arrived. The location was perfect: close to the beach and local attractions, yet still quiet and peaceful. It was ideal for both downtime and getting out to explore the area. What really set this experience apart was Jamie, from the management company. She was top notch, professional, responsive, and proactive throughout the entire stay. Communication was clear, check-in was seamless, and she made sure everything was perfect. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would absolutely rent this home again. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a high-quality stay in Ocean Isle Beach.

Our family had a blast at A Shell of A Time. The house was beautiful and laid out great. Great porches to sit or eat. Everything we needed in the kitchen to cook our meals. Easy walk to the beach. Lots of well maintained beach and pool equipment. Lots of extras for the littles! We will be back!

Great week at Shell of a Time.

This house is amazing! This was our family’s first trip to OIB and we will definitely be returning. The location of this house is perfect. We easily walked to the park, museum, shops, pier, and restaurants. The walk to beach access was only about 5 houses down and it was handicap accessible meaning we could roll our beach cart right onto the sand! We greatly appreciated the large amount of beach items available to use (chairs, umbrellas, sand toys, and wagon) and toys and floats for the pool. The enclosed area at the bottom of the house was great for leaving our beach gear handy but secure. There is a large fridge there as well which we used for our beach/pool drinks and snacks. The kids loved the pool with pool lights in the evening and the adults had plenty of seating around the pool to be comfortable. The decks and outdoor furniture were all in great shape and perfect for relaxing. The house itself is beautiful. It is decorated nicely and all of the furniture is high quality and comfortable. All of us commented on how comfy the mattresses are and we all slept great. The kitchen had everything we needed and all items were in great condition. There were plenty of small touches that made our stay easier. There were plenty of board games in the house for us to enjoy. There was a cordless light weight vacuum on both floors which made keeping the floors clean a breeze. The house was extremely clean when we arrived including the bathrooms and kitchen. There is a drink fridge on the lower level which was handy. I appreciate the loud door chime on the door leading down to the pool so that we always knew if a kid was headed that way. The bar, outdoor shower, and hose were nice touches in the backyard. The rental company was great to work with as well. They checked on us a few different times to make sure everything was going smoothly. It was a great trip and I would highly recommend them!
